Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, the French city of Puy-deDomme on August 9, 1976. Audrey is the largest child of 4 children. The parents of Audrey Tautou, both a dental dentist and teacher, were aware of and supported their daughter's passion for drama and theater at a young stage. Their support was more than enough to thwart her initial ambition to be a the first primatologist. It was a quick rise for her to become a famous young actress. In 1998, after completing her degree she was invited to take part in Jeunes Premiers, a French show on TV that is a talent-scouting initiative, which is sponsored by Canal+. There she was awarded the prize for the Best Young Actress in Beziers Festival of Young Actors. This led her to begin her acting profession. Tautou was educated at Institut Catholique de Paris, attended church as a young girl and was brought up Catholic. She has since gotten away from this background. Apart from her acting work, she was also interested in modeling. She modelled of L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and has been referred as "The Chanel Muse". She also has a serious interest in photography and recently produced an exhibition of her work for the Arles Festival with the name Superficial. In her photographs, she concentrates on fame and the spotlight. The camera's focus is on journalists who examined her rise to stardom in Amelie. Audrey Tautou's debut part, playing Amelie Poulain's main actor in Le Fabuleux d'Amelie Poulain, brought her fame to the world. Amelie received international acclai box office success and received acclaim at awards galas across the world. It is the most successful French language film to date in the US. After this film's success, Tautou appeared in many films from British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles, and then he moved into Hollywood under the direction of Ron Howard of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code alongside Tom Hanks.
